Our MENTORING OFFER
At Blue Sky, we offer:
One-to-one Session
Duration: 2 Hours
Prior to a one-to-one session taking place, we liaise with key stakeholders and the young person to build a bespoke program around the needs of the individual alongside their goals and aspirations for the future..
Group Sessions
Duration: 5 Hours
Initially, our group sessions are offered to those attending the same school, we speak with the young people individually and their key stakeholders to build a program around those within the group. Embedded within this program are the needs and wants of the young people in a group setting.
All sessions are priced at £140 per student per session.
The Referral process - A YOUNG PERSONS JOURNEY
The First steps:
Initial Conversations
A young person's journey starts with us when they are referred to us via email or telephone, during this initial chat we seek to find out key information pertaining to the young person such as: EHCP / Goals and aspirations for the individual during their time with us and any concerns you may have.
The First meeting
By now, we will have spoken with the commissioning body and established what they would like for the young person one of our coaches goes to visit the young person in a setting of their choice (Home, School or community). During this time we take time to ensure we gain an understanding of the young person and what they would like to achieve during their time with us.
This enables us to give the young person an opportunity to have their voice heard whilst developing ownership over their program.
Sessions commence
Having gained vital insight from all involved parties we have articulated an outcome that is advantageous and in line with what key stakeholders require.
One of our coaches will begin to work with the young person and facilitate moving towards the pre-determined goals whatever that may be.
How do we share progress and challenges?
At the end of the session, we take time to ensure we capture: the program aim, the sessional aim, the progress made during a session, student/coach reflections and any actions to take moving forwards.
Our sessional logs are sent to the key stakeholders alongside this we welcome telephone debriefs to inform partner agencies of the work undertaken and any concerns we have pertaining to the young person.
